I found a free music program called Finale Notepad 2008 (date is for what version) and is useful when making epic or simple music. Includes guitars (including electric and electric bass) and has brass instruments and many other things you would find here is the link to the website:https://www.finalemusic.com/notepad/. You must create an account and provide your email, home address, among other things, to download the software. It appears that MakeMusic, Inc may share your contact info with others. An attempt to view their privacy policy only results in a server error.

Create an account at your own risk. You can use a false email and info as the server does not check it.

EDIT: I did get a look at their privacy policy. It looks pretty standard. Be sure to click the "Don't share my information box" if you fill the form.
