Does FPSC X9 not support this because I tried changing it in the setup.ini.

How would using efx help him get a better res?

FPSC is coded to change the resolution to whatever you give it, if it is supported by your monitor/GPU.

Changing the resolution in setup.ini will work after you've built your game. I don't think you can change the resolution for test games.

For capturing videos and such, I like to do a build game and then change the resolution in setup.ini to match my monitor, as textures and everything else looks so much sharper, and can take full advantage of all my video cards goodies.

Why wouldn't it work in the test game? Then you have no idea of how good/bad the game is because when you have a ~1200x700 resolution on a 22 inch screen, it is stretched horrifically.

Because efx 1.5 automatically adapts the desktop resolution...
and in most cases widescreen-tft-owners use the native res or a widescreen-res (16:10 aspect)

so you automatically get a res of 1680x1050 if that's your desktop res (or for example 1920x1200 on my machine)
every element of the hud is correctly sized and positioned, so there are no stretching errors (because that stuff doesn't get stretched - it looks much better if it looks smaller on higher resolutions - relative to the overall res )

You can get your GPU to use AA on everything 3D.

How? Under settings, it is set to Highest Quality but nothing is AA in FPSC.
