Here's a quick video tutorial on how to create a monster type growl for your games. This is also posted over at Black Draco Games

Monster Growl Tutorial

This is the very first online tutorial I've ever done, and you can tell by my voice.

Nickydude. Well done. Sounds great and you made a very good step by step video. (Helps having a good collection of sounds too )

Edit: Doing Great LT Tatters. Developing different ways to make models better/faster.

Dude, nice tut. I've been using Audacity for a while, and you showed me a couple of moves I never knew.

Best.

Some I found on the net, others I've actually paid for.

Wow nice tutorial nickydude. Hey, where did you get all of those animal sounds? I need to make a monster sound and I don't really have all of the right sounds.

So, where did you get those? Were they free? That's the thing I need right now, cost free and royalty free sounds. Low budget right now (If you take in account for the model packs and the 360 I'm gonna get ).

(Oops, just read the post above me)

@Nickydude- Could you please post the growl sf so I could hear it. I don't have flash players or a fast internet connection to view the tutorial, but I would love to hear your animal growl sf. All the best,

Beastegargoyle

I didn't actually save the growl but I'll put a copy of the tutorial on YouTube, give me a minute....

Edit: I'm having trouble as the vid is in flash format and YouTube doesn't allow flash (well not mine anyway ). Sorry

Good tutorial Nickydude, like the accent XD

although I'd recommended Goldwave for mixing, although Audacity has a very good feature for the pitch and plugins.

Also, you could also do with adding it fade out at the end, as you seemed to of cut the audio off half way. fading out the audio slighty at the end makes the audio sound smoother. you could then add a faint echo effect. if you adjust the echo's settings right, you can make it sound a lot better.
