I have tried UV mapping and every time it fails. My object is just white! This is getting on my nerves as a object without a texture is awful.
I use
-Wings 3D
-UV Mapper Classic
Please help me. If you do I will be VERY grateful

I don't think you searched. I just typed "UV map" and there were tonnes of results. Try searching again.

SUCCESS! I got it look! Anyways, I re UV mapped it and I believe you didn't resave the model after UV mapping. So I think you UV mapped, saved the texture and that was it. After you save the texture, save the model. Then open it up in MS3D or whatever, and apply the texture. Then save it as an x file. I hope I could help.

Edit: lol, too late.

You have to resave it? The Model?
Hang on I tried it again and it still didn't work!
Heres what I did
1)Make the model
2)Export it as a .obj
3)Load it in UVMapper Classic
4)Made a box map
5)Resaved the model with a diffrent name
6)Saved the texture
7)Closed UVMapper
8)Made my texture
9)Saved my texture
10)Resaved my model as .x in wings
11)Loaded up entity workshop
12)Imported it into entity workshop
13)Loaded the texture into entity workshop
And in entity workshop it still stays white!
Please help!

I disagre, I prefer lithunwrap.
And often UV mappers in moddeling tools are crap.
Take callagari Gamespace Uv mapper, Firsttime using that mapper I got a incorrect UV,even when I played with it.
And now take Lithunwrap, first go, and My model was Uv'ed without a problem.

dosent work.
litunwrap allows you to get the UV from a model, when UVmapper classic or your moddeler's UVmapper will set the UV

try loading this file into Lithunwrap, i didn't set the uv in blender, and lithunwrap dosen't make uv coordinates

hope that helps,
Ocho

(also, lithunwrap is useful, if you find a use for it)

Different file imports and exports, I think. I use UV mapper classic, so I wouldn't know.

UV Mapper is good but I'm using Vista and for some reason it crashes as soon as I try to use the sphere mapping option. Apart from that its good.

To be honest Lithunwrap is also free, has more features, works in exactly the same way, supports tons more file formats and doesnt crash with Vista so thats what I'm using.

Ultimate unwrap wouldnt have it at all with Vista and Deep UV looks too expensive.
