Has anyone else noticed an annoying flashing when placing segments in the editor? I think it might be because of the latest Nvidia drivers. Anyone else have this problem?

Well, a GeForce 7600 ain't gonna work with X10 isn't it? You'll need an 8 series for it to work. It may be that you've disabled some abilities and permissions on your graphics adapter

I am running a Geforce 8600 GTS - Forceware 163.71
And i get no flashes at all. Now I am not sure if I should wait until the next Forceware or just upgrade and not care.

What is everyone else running?

I get the flash also with a 8800 GTS 320, and 8800 GT 512 but I don't get it with a ATI HD 3870? go figure?

To correct my earlier posting ->

I have a GF 8800 GT (and not 7600 as written before - sorry bout the mistake) and I have the flashes. My drivers are the latest official from Windows Update.

To get what Forceware version you are using (because It is probably related to the forceware) follow the steps below.
I have posted my Card with its Forceware version and I get no flickering.

Yes Tutelage is right, I tried his method and it worked perfectly.

Mainly all you have to do is downgrade (just download/install) the Forceware 163.71 online. The beta's are all taken offline, however I found mine at Gamer's Hell.

I don't really want to downgrade, because I witnessed a MAJOR performance boost in Crysis when upgrading. I'll e-mail Lee and see if he'll look into it, although my previous bug reports were met with "maybe after migration".

I am sure if enough people have this issue, Lee will look into it quickly instead of giving the work around (down-grade)

I have a GeForce 8800GT with the latest FW for the card. When I first started using FPSC X10 there was flashing every time I clicked the mouse, but after running the updates the flashing has ceased from what I can see. I didn't change anything in my settings either.

So if anyone has yet to update their software, give that a shot and it should alleviate the flashing annoyance.

I have a 8800 GTX Extreme running FW 169.25 and yes...it is quite annoying!

P.S. While displaying ony my HDTV through DVI-HDMI I do not get the blinking. I also cannot see the faded grid at the main level in the editor...

Perhaps the two are linked?

The current guide is for the 'classic' version of FPSC. There's nothing stopping anyone creating their own guide for X10 though.
