please someone

when i click test game, or even create game, the bar goes 3/4 the way, and then says creating lightmaps. From that point onwards, the bar never moves.
Please advise.

Could we see a screen-shot and your system specs? It really helps.

Oh, yeah, I'm not sending it to your e-mail, the forum is better and quicker. I prefer to be public with my answers rather than private.

Well, it could be that you have a diverse lightmap in your level. What lightmap quality do you have? 100 is a good quality, I keep mine at 500, 5000 works great but has a long load time and 50,000 is sick and takes an hour to load.

If you have no absolute clue what I'm talking about:

A.)Your computer needs to be up-to-date
B.)Re-Install FPSC because it is weirded up.

You possibly have Full Lightmaps on. Switch lightmaps to Soft Lighting and post if there are any changes.

What version are you using? If you are using version 1 then you need to upgrade or wait forever for the light maps to finish...

I've got the same problem too !
Worked perfectly fine on my old computer with Xp, But now I am using Vista, could Vista be the problem?
