I receive an error when I try to compile the 2D and 3D wizards. It tells me that "fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'd3dx9.h': No such file or directory."

I am running on Vista. Is there anyway to use DarkGDK wtih DirectX 10, or anything else that I can try? Thanks.

Try installing the DX9 SDK.

I do believe that it will permit you to downgrade to Direct X 9 though, if you already have a higher version.

DX10 has nothing to do with DX9. If you load the latest DX9, it will not affect the status of DX10 whatsoever.

In fact, you will find that a lot of DX9 programs will run better in Vista, if you do install the latest DX9c (April, I think).

The DX9 that came with Vista is over a year old.
