In my opinion, it's very bland. You need more lighting, and some sci-fi crates, barrels, etc.

I am not that good at the astetics of levels. I try to foucs on the gameplay first, but no one ever downloads my games because the screenshots suck. Thats why i started this thread, so I could learn to make some good screenshots.

no no, still over crowded with boxes, put boxes in a corner or somthing on top of each other, thinner pillars, and maybe the pillars will do good at a wall?

You need to have some action instead of just flying barrels etc. You need to show a firefight or something, then the stats'll go high. That's what I plan to do. How do you take screenies? I do the PRTSCR but Paint.NET won't load it .

They look good, but also like: "My first game with FPSC" to be honest. But the screens are getting better and better.

Lookin better, make them propane tanks static and also tipped over on the floor(some of them, not all.) and also dont have them striaght, looks wrong, also the boxes look good too.

(use 1-6 to tip over objects...)

I agree with LT Tatters, tipping objects over will make the game look better.

Yea, sort of, think about how the room would be set up in real life, they don't have to be on the ground, just in bunches of 3 or four near the walls.

Thanks for everyones help. I now know that making and taking good screenshots to get people interested into the games and download the games themselves is not hard (its just takes some thinking and planning.

Twitchy 624, great job on the last screenshot. I can easily say that's your best one yet.

Yes the last one is alot better compare to the first ones, but why does the player got a WWII M1 Thompson ? It doesn't really fit in sci-fi.
And best way to learn level design and lightmapping is to watch other showcases, test their demos, play good games- Doom 3, Call of Duty 4 etc.

For lightmapping and some level designing, Splinter Cell should teach you as to where you lights should go. Just ask Sam Fisher (he's in my avatar).

Dont mind me bumping in, but you got cube 2 media in that screen...
The box with stripes, thats cube 2, the rest is not...

be carefull, MaKKe may start catching on, also seeming as cube 2 media is non-cormercial only...

Here's a screen that may give you a few ideas for lighting. Note the grate on the roof.
