I am going to be making a splash screen and I need to know which one of these images to use, this will probably be my final logo to. So take a look and tell me which one.

Number two. I would go with number 1 if it had a picture inside the circle.

Number 2. Doesn't seem so busy and also seems to be "sharper." Also Kerrby's right. #1 seems to have something missing because of the large empty space. Empty space isn't always bad but just needs to be used properly.

try and look for logo tutorial for photoshop instead of just adding the standard shapes and adding gradients and glow effects.

My thoughts exactly.

So why not combine them?
Take the words out of #2, and then use the image inside the circle of #1.
Only change the baby blue in one of them so the background isn't the same as the squirly thingy.
