any suggestions for high poly 3d software that is free or cheap. looking to make a few very detailed objects, not for game use just for show. oh ya, also looking for this software to be as easy to use as ms3d and 3dws. if there is such a thing. LOL

You'll never find such a thing.

Check out blender if you're up for a challenge That's probably the best you're going to find for free, but be prepared to spend a couple weeks learning the basics.

Go grab the demo of Rhino3D 4.0, it's a NURBS modeler, so things are as high detail and smooth as you care to make them, but it's really easy to use and learn.
If memory serves me right, you get 30 saves in the demo version.


less is more, but if less is more how you keeping score?
