Today I decided to try and speed model a human, here is the result.

388 Polys

It took me an hour to do but I was wondering, the arms seem really skinny and the whole model just seems kinda wrong. I have followed the refrence image exactly but It still doesn't see right. Is there some sort of trick to "read" a refrence image? BTW Ruccus if you read this I really tried to take your advice on the edge loops and I used cylinder modeling for it, I like the results.

Thanks for reading!

'Do you wanna hug?'
'What? What did I do?'
Sorry, was just thinking what he might be saying...Lol! Looks like generally a good model; stuck to the reference well. Upper arms do seem a little skinny but its the feet that I think need work.

The feet looks rather odd... Mind posting a side/front view as well?

You have a nice flow going to your model, the topology is very nice, proportions could do with some more work but as a base mesh it works.

Lol, I see nobody liked the feet, and yea he looks like he's ready to give you a big hug I didn't mess with the arms yet but i'll try a little later. Thanks Oolite, part of the point of this model was to practice getting it to flow correctly, it looks like I did

Here is the front and side view as requested.

BTW I did tweak the feet

Thanks

Well he's not modeled after "the thing" but i've been told that more then once so I guess it must look alot like him. I think maybe the reason the hands don't seem right is the palms are facing forward and it looks kinda wierd, if that's not it do you think you could specify a little?
