Is it possible to use an FTP to store all the user profiles for my MMO?

I don't need an oven to make my cookies.

I wouldn't.

In fact it's easier to just store them in either text files on your server, or a MySQL database on your server.

Seriously, the amount of data required to run an MMO really all needs to be handled by the server and stored in a high performance database. Then you only send the player what they need at that moment in time.
