I havent played it for a while, but I have it somewhere here on a disk. Remember playing Keen 2, then pressing the wrong switch and accidentally blowing up the earth? Direct quote: "Oops!"

Whatever I did I didn't do it!

Love Commander Keen, 3D Realms should re release it as a FPS, or even a platform game. Those games were the best.

I found this on the 3D Realms site http://www.apogee1.com/keenhistory/index.html. They really need to do a remake.

I only played episode 4 a long time ago - cool game especially for it's time.

While we're here, does anyone remember a 1994 DOS game entitled Shattered Steel? Yes, 1994 was a good year for games, wasn't it...

Dream Web if we are remembering good games.

Yes commander keen was good but i think that if it were turned into a FPS it would loose it.

Shattered Steel was done by Bioware originally, I remember the game. From way long time ago.

Bioware certainly has come along way since then. Balders Gate 1, 2, NWN, KotOR.

Didnt have a pc back in those days, started with and Atari 800 (Which i still have in loft mint with loads of games and accessories inc. a mint boxed cart version of Donkey Kong x-d )

Just downloaded Keen 1-6 to see what there like and quite playable, first thing that struck me is the fact i got sound from the pc (not speakers), where all games like that, guess there were not sound cards in the early days ?

YES THEY SHOULD MAKE ANOTHER KEEN GAME, but not an fps. I'm thinking 3rd person.

jeffmosesuk, yes the early games all had sound coming from the PC speaker. But from Commander Keen 4 on, you could get sound coming from your soundcard.

All of those 1994 games... Unfortunately, I was only five at the time and had not a computer. I guess I didn't miss out on much, for although those were the pioneering days of PC games, now the games are much better, and I can still get old DOS games.
