Could someone PRETTY PLEASE tell me how to use dbIntersectObject to detect collisions between two objects WHEN they are colliding?

It strongly depends on what do you want to archieve. You must give us more details. Do you want that a player walks on a surface or that you can't move through walls?

My game is a side-scrolling fighter... Like Tekken or DOA etc. The characters only move along the X-axis and sometimes Y when they are jumping... There is only the two characters on screen which I want to detect collisions of... Object1 and 2...

I checked out the raycasting snippet on that page you linked me to and it explains a lot... I'll try using intersect object with the method provided...
