i rebooted my system and lost any good 3d modelling softwares and right now i have no money could someone suggest a good 3d modelling software that is if not cheap, free and it must alow for you to export in .x format

Callagari gamespace lite, but it only allows 560 faces.

Free: Blender. Wings 3D.
Low cost: Milkshape. Gamespace.

(Like LT Tatters said there is a free version too of Gamespace)

Nope £25, also If you want big, and I mean BIG, You may consider a autodesk tool, maya and 3ds max are the higher qualitiy one, but I belive there is a free one called Autodesk inventer? dont know if it allows you to make .X files.

Wings 3d is really good for the beginners.
I use Wings 3d to create model and I finalize the model in Milkshape.

well i am hoping to make money out of making music for peoploe £1.50 a track go over to the music and sfx board if you are intrested

@ Tatters: I have used inventor, it does not export to .x. I highly don't reccomend it for 3d modelling purposes. What you do is start in 2d and then extrude everything to 3d, which I find harder.

If any program cant export to .x, use lithunwrap (free) to convert your model. Can also convert from .x to whatever.
