Hi guys. I have searched but didn't find any results. Is there a way to create a trigger zone with a sprite to have an explosion? The sprites loop and wanted it to stop after one loop even if it will work without a trigger zone.

Thanks

Metalkill

Yeah this is totally possible. Pay close attention at 1:20 in my video link below

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alKe3ZZoTLs

I expanded upon this idea to have an explosion decal which ran once then disappeared followed by a raging fire decal which continued looping afterwards. You could just go ahead and leave it at the explosion decal which will suit your requirements.

This requires 2 scripts which I'll upload with instructions after this post.

-Edit (the scripts are now attached to this post).

If you imagine the idea in your head. You can make it happen in FPSC!

wow, that is it. That would be great if I am able to use these scripts. I was looking through the scripts to see if I was able to edit the sprites but with no luck so far. If you can upload those scripts or explain how I can create that script that would be great.

Hi Metalkill

Your welcome. I've now attached the scripts you need with instructions for 2 different methods of implementation including the one seen in my youtube video link. Download from the download link on my previous post.

Enjoy

Can you make it so thta when you walk thru the trigerzone, it plays once instead of looping. Because i want to use a different decal than the stock explosion. (sp1 depthcharge)

Yes!

All you need to do is change the 'rundecal =' value from 2 to 0 in the 'decalactivate' script supplied and sasve.

place decals where required, right click and change ai main to the 'decalactivate' script.

The default rundecal value is 2 which specifies to loop but changing to 0 will only appear once then disappear.
