I know this board is totally the wrong place to ask... but does anyone know how to say "OR" in VB... (as in "||" in C++)...

I've already tried and it doesn't work... BTW, I'm using VB6, if that makes it different...

EDIT: WTF... I've been using VB since Grade 6 and everytime I tried that it didn't work... Just today before receiving your answer I tried it... Now I try it again... and...

IT WORKS... I DON'T GET IT!

Quote: "Logical versus BitWise Operations
The Not, And and Or operators work differently in VB.NET. In VB6 and earlier, these functions performed either logical or Bitwise operations depending on the context they were used in. If all their operands were of type boolean they performed logical operations. Otherwise they performed bitwise operations.

Now they will only perform logical operations. VB.NET introduces the BitAnd, BitOr, BitNot and BitXor keywords to perform bitwise operations.

This is the third time this has happened... I tried something that I was perfectly sure was gonna work, but it doesn't... And try again and again different ways and it still doesn't work... Then I come the forums for help... I get the exact same solution to the problem I've tried... Just for the heck of it, I go back and try it again... And it works...

It's beyond me... ... Maybe I should do this more often as it helps get stuff to work...

As an old classmate of mine used to say when things worked (or didn't work) like expected,

"It's an identity of nature!"
