FragMOTION

GameSpace Light

I use Gamespace Light for my modeling and save as an x file. (I like GSlights interface for creating basic shapes & I know they will be low poly)
Then I import that into Fragmotion to tweak it and Assign/UV Map the texture. (I like FragMOTIONS UV Mapper)
Then I save that as a milkshape file and export it from milkshape as a X(jt). (Milkshape works well with FPSC)

It works for me.
I just find some tools better for some things than others.
At least for me some are easier to use for certain things.
