Alright, so I know I've seen a similar thread here, but I can't seem to find it. Not by searching, looked through several pages, nothing. Maybe I just used the wrong search terms..

Anyhow, I want to know how to make a character die/turn to ragdoll at the very start of the game. I tried the falldamage method, but it didn't work. The character was just halfway up in the air instead.

So, any ideas/scripts? I've had X10 for a while, but haven't got ahold of Vista until now, so I'm still sort of a noob when it comes to X10, even though I'm an X9-veteran.

I think there is somekind of ragdoll command in FPSCX10, if you put together some kind of apear with ragdoll script it would work (at least I think)

Hm, no dice. I can't seem to figure out which command triggers the ragdoll. I came up with a work-around involving some rubble falling onto the guys head, but they went through the floor and splashed into the water way down below. It also looked ridiculous, lol.

So, anyone know the specific command or some clever workaround that doesn't look silly? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Sorry about the double-post, btw.

I have a load of dead character entities, but they are on my computer at another location. You can e-mail me for them and when I get over there I'll send them to you. They are just the entities tho so you won't be able to use any character. For that you may just alter his script so he starts with 0 health and his body doesnt dissapear

This is easy.

Go into the characters properties and change the following.

Spawn Life: 1
(1 second and the enemy dies.)
Decay Time: 0
(Stops the enemy's body from disappearing.)

Also delete the "male" or "female" from the Soundset. This will stop the enemy from screaming at the start of the game when they die.

One more thing about this method. If the enemys feet are at ground level (default), when dead the enemy's feet will stick into the ground making them look crunched up like a pile of meat. Make sure you use the "Page Up" key to raise the enemy further up into the air. The problem is, no matter what angle you make the enemy start at, they will ragdoll the same (stood up). I wish they would fix this. This mean you can't lie them down on a table and have them ragdoll, sorry.

Okay, thanks for the helpful advice, guys. I'll try it out as soon as I get to my development/gaming computer.

I would set up allies with 1 hp right next to normal enemies and let 'em drop!
