When one purchases items from the TGC Store, is he/she able to keep them for v2? Because I wouldn't want to waste another $20 just for that reason.

What is this version 2? All items you buy you own. So just make sure you back up your data.

I believe the combining of version 9 and X10 (which Lee has spoken of frequently) is the version "2" that you are reffering to. It is still a ways off.

there is nothing called V2, its just the X10 Migration... Though the community made V2 out of it...

I know of the "migration version". A version 2 is a very different idea!

Yeah... The community assumed it was V2 I guess, but since we are on V1.09, thats very unlikely to happen... It's more likely to become V1.1 instead.

I'd be super happy with an engine that is as hard to lag up as a commercial game engine. Or at least one that lets me have huge levels packed with baddies. Nevermind the eye-candy junk.

You're the commercial director, didn't Lee give you a memo about it?

Yep, that's exactly where we got the name FPSC V2 - Lee said it first!

I find it rather stupid to name it V2, since they only released 9 real updates so far(of which one is in Beta), and they are on 1.09, no need to jump .91 points all of a sudden...

Anyway, if its what he wants to do, I'm not his boss

Maybe it's just me but I think I recall that the numbering scheme used for version doesn't always follow linearity.

Jumping to the next whole number signifies that the old version just simply isn't there anymore. It got depricated or whatever. Basically, a BIG change happened to the product to make it so different that it can't be claimed as a simple "upgrade". Increasing by decimal values (Aka V1.09 to V1.10) signifies that fixes are being made, and small features are being added.

I, personally, think that with the migration, FPSC X9 will have gone through a large enough change to constitute a new version.

Ehhh... according to that we should have been on V1.9 by now... or something similar... Because most bugs FPSC has/had are not small ones

Hey, wait a minute...I seem to recall even Lee himself referring to the migration version as V2...and given the things he's importing into the engine, yeah, I'd say that V2 qualifies.

Yeah, he said V2
