I think you're going the wrong way about this. You need something that has support for rigs and skinning. The Rig creation and skinning are both needed before any animating can begin. I believe milkshape supports .X as well as rigging support, but i don't use it so someone correct me.

I have a blender guide to animation on this board check it out if you are going to animate and also it loads .x and exports .x. And is a modeller so you can model, animate and export .x with animations in a tic.

- did anyone else notice Sparten T37's blatant attepmt at Hi-jacking this thread? With something against the AUP anyway.
On topic - Most modellers can handel Animation, and the people so far have posted good choices.

Your signature has been erased by a mod - 340 KB is a little big don't you think?

Dealt with that Blobby, I don't know how seriously he expected people to take that, probably as seriously as he takes his spelling.

I strongly recommend getting CharacterFX, it's served me well for years, despite having 3DS Max, I still prefer to use CFX, it's just so straightforward and perfect for DBPro.

less is more, but if less is more how you keeping score?
