Hi there,
I have a program that works ok with my comp, but I've tested it in another one and I get a blank screen, although I can see that the program is running (it responds to the keys).

I think it could be because I have 128 Mb of VIDEO memory, and the other comp has 32Mb, maybe I have spended those 32Mb.

Do you get blank screens if you load too many things?

thanks in advance

Nope just a slow down, does he have the latest drivers for his graphics card? If you created the program what DX version do you have? Does he have the same version or higher?

I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.

Well I've tested it in 3 computers, all of them with DX8.1, but I'm almost sure that their drivers are out of date.
They are a TNT2 and a Geforce4(old drivers), and mine with a Radeon (drivers up to date).

The strange thing is that, at least with the Geforce, there are 'smaller' programs that work. That is, not all programs give blank screen for it.

But I think you are right, it could still be a driver problem.

Well what version of DBPro are you using? The old demo?
Patch 4.1 Full version.

What video drivers are they using?

I'm using Patch 4.1 full version.

The drivers are something like (I don't have the details):
TNT2 : mid 2001 drivers
Geforce MX440 (mobile) : late 2002 drivers

I can't update them, because they are owned by its respective companies, and I have to ask permission.

The thing, as I said before, is that I can run some other DBP programs (at least with the Geforce, no option to try with the TNT2), so that makes me doubt.
Although I might be calling something unsupported for old drivers and I do not know what it is. It seems like if the 'sync' command does not take effect.

This enforces me to do more testing on some other pc's, something that can be difficult if you don't want to give away your prog.
