I believe someone checked and found that some of the downloads were trojans on that site.

My Firewall warns of spyware at that site.

Here is a link to a slightly older version at a site that doesn't have a spyware warning.

Here is the developer's website.

Edit:
I've never had any problems with the site but a safer link is always a good idea.

Well the warnings are based on reports submitted by other uses.
So, it is possible that competitors made false claims to instill those warnings.
All I know is that site is red flagged.

Here is the link to the new MusicScore website.
You'll notice in the download section that they use the same website for third party downloads as my first link.

The program looks handy though.
Thanks Fred

Ok, thanks but the Download.com one is just a demo, right? Or am I missing something?

The download is the full version of the software. You have to download it and ACTIVATE it (I don't know about the version Conjured posted) within a time limit.
I would recommend using the link Conjured posted as it is safer.

Well I just checked both. Conjured Entertainment posted a link to their web site. Which doesn't have the "Deal" that you are posting.

Yes I know you have to ACTIVATE it for the full version. But in the zip the file that says's readme.txt and under the download link says that it's NOT for commercial use.

Yeah, I think my link is just a demo, but the school version is only $29 if you like it.

So, pay $29 and support the developer while avoiding spyware, or take your chances.

It looks like a nice program though and even a demo is nice when its free.

The only problem I have with it is the output.
Scroring the music is great, but hearing it is better.
I wish the output was to a sound file instead of only images of the music.
They have plans for WAV output though, so I guess I'll wait for the update.

Yep.But that doesn't mean you can't use it.It's like anything else (including the demo).I guess if you want to use it commercially you can pay for it.
People can find noncommercial uses for it if they wish.

And there is nothing wrong with that.

All I was pointing out was the commercial usage. But you get so defensive everytime I post.

It looks like a nice little app, there is a free one called Notepad which is a companion for Sibelius which works really well and has sound output using GM or midi output.
