Welcome to Blender Tutorial 1 where we will be making a basic sword!
Ok start up blender.(delete the cube if you haven't already)
hit space and add>mesh>circle. And now make it 6 vertices make sure you clicked Full. A circle should appear on screen with 6 sides. Rotate it so 2 sides are looking opposite eachother like this.

Now hit one on the numpad not the keyboard.

Now go into edit mode, and now extrude(you can extrude objects quicker by hitting E) it and scale it alittle and do it 3 times and scale it so its like this..

Now hit a to deselect whatever you've selected, now press B twice, the cursor should of changed into a circle, move the circle over the bottom of it, right-click, now press W and select "Merge>Center" It should now of become merged to gether so it has a pointy bottom. Now hit A to deselect it, and now hit B twice again and move it over the top of the model. Now extrude that till you think it looks good as a handle(Remember the shorter makes it a short sword the longer makes it a longsword.) Now where it shows...

Click on the square, now it should change the arrows into cubes. Now click on where it shows the red cube click on that and drag it till it is about Little finger length. Now extrude it up alittle to too long just a little extrusion. Now extrude it again. But now using the cubes, click on the red cube and drag it till it is the s;ightly wider than the width of the handle.
Now hit 7 on the numpad. It should now be in over the top view. Use the green cube to make it thin but not to thin do it so you can just about see the sides. And now extrude the blade up, till it you think its a nice sword size. Now extrude again and extrude it up the top looks like a square and now hit W>Merge>Center and now you have made your first sword.

INDEX
Extrude-This can be done by hitting E.

Edit Mode-This can be accessed by pressing the Object mode area and selecting Edit-mode(straight forward huh.)

Space- Opens up a shortcut which is the same as clicking on add on the top by file.

Rotation- Hit R and move the mouse around the object and it should be rotating(again straight-forward).

Merging- Hit W>Merge>Center

Scaling- Hit S and move the mouse away from the object and the object should scale towards your mouse.(Straight-forward)

This isn't much of a tutorial Deathhead... you dont explain where edit mode is, how to go into it, how to extrude, what hitting space does, why certain buttons are doing what they're doing, etc. Its a start and good to see another tutorial coming along but Id go a little more in depth.

Its pretty much just a recipe for making a sword in Blender, no reasoning behind what you're telling us to do. Im pretty sure if someone knows where all of these features you're talking about are and what they do and how to use them already, then they'll at least be able to make a basic sword.

RUCCUS, I'm pretty sure I explained all of these things. If you want I will put it underneath my tutorial. Oh and they are pretty straight-forward.
