Use waypoints to make them go around.
Use F10 to capture without hud.
Make battle scenes with AI.

So easy!

Maybe some other things?

Waypoint and so battle after and so waypoint?

Dont forget to use the 'free cam' mode so you can create dynamic camera pans from any angle.

It seriously enhances what is possible with cut scenes.

Don't forget, in effects there are two scripts, one called "triggerposemode" and one called "triggersnapshotmode". Haven't tried either, but look promising.

@ Nickydude

It requires naming the player marker to "free cam" or something like that, and it acts like a Counter Strike camera type thing, where you can fly around. lol.

just to clarify. You need to do the following

Add a player start marker and change its name to ‘camera fly mode'.

You'll now be able to fly around the level, go through walls, floors, ceilings and create some damn nice cutscenes.

Lee added this as a special feature for FPSC X10. Goodness knows what other hidden features are lurking in there.

Just tried this out. It's really cool. You can fly through walls. You can traverse levels. Very very smooth.

LOL. Okay, so you're saying I might have lied.
And now you want me to make a video. You're
lucky I'm in a good mood tonight. Below is a link
to a quickie demo. The X10 file was 98 meg. I
did a quick conversion to flash, so it's down to 20 meg.
But it may still take a little while to buffer.
But you'll get a good idea of what the camera fly can do.

Thanks Nomad Soul, that question right there is the start of the X10 guide.

i´m using fpsc x9 here, but i have a vista PC too, so i´ll download FPSC X10 there, and make my cutscenes in it there.

[selfish mode]
hey, ain't i smart?
[/selfish mode]

i always had problems with cutscenes, i tried Machinima, but it sucked with x9.

this is my rifle, this is my gun,
this one's for killing, this one's for fun.

Your welcome Nickydude!

Wow, my first entry in the FPSC bible. Thats pretty cool.

Happy flying. It'll be interesting to see what people do with this for their cutscenes. We can now start thinking more about story driven games which unfold with dynamic and interesting cutscenes.

Or just using it to make cool intro sequences to games. It will definately add a whole new dimension to anyone attempting an FPSC RPG

You will be able to spend more time being a director in your FPSC games and add a real sense of style making it a more unique experience.

Control of the camera is a great feature. However, the quality is still no where near as good as fraps. Both are using an avi codec.
So I'm not really sure why the difference in quality. Also, you can alter settings with fraps. I thought you could edit the video capture settings with X10. They are in an editable file. But I found that changing them has no effect. Lee confirmed this.

Fraps can still be used with FPSC X10 (at least the latest version can). Your not restricted to using the one included in the software.

Then you will still have the option to adjust output settings e.g. resolution etc.

I uploaded a FPSC X10 video using Fraps a while back (surprised its still there!) of my custom X9 orc which I converted to X10 with ragdoll.

Upgrade to the latest Fraps if you've not done so already.

Don't want to hijack this thread. But did you have any issues with firing weapons between your X9 model and X10 model? My models hold their guns backwards.
