alignx, aligny and alignz control the position of the flash NOT the weapon.

Use horiz, vert and foreward to control the the weapon's position.

If that's the muzzle I see (and not the butt), then increase the foreward value to about 11 and the horiz to maybe -4 and fine-tune from there.

About the muzzle flash, open up your HUD.X file in notepad and at the very bottom place this code...

Then adjust the values for muzzle flash until it appears the way you want it.

You can also have a bone/limb/object in your model file named "FIRESPOT".

What OpFor just showed you is a way to manually add it to the .X file but that may not work if you export the .X with compression.

Also, your weapon looks mirrored from the render screen. If the export is doing that, you need to make sure you're exporting with left handed axis. Otherwise, you may run into animation problems later on.

When i export my gun to .x when its in game the bolt is on the left side but i modeled it on the right side

Do you know why it does that?

Edit

When i exported it i check the left handed axis and put it fpsc but the bolt is still on the left side

Yes, use x,y,z to move your muzzlelash. Dont forget if you have a bone in your model called "firespot" that is where muzzles appear.

Please check out my WWII Media Pack 1 FPSC thread... http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=131014&b=3&p=0

Incorrect. FPSC only looks to see if a FIRESPOT bone is present. It can be placed anywhere. Only the gunspec controls it's position with HUD weapons. (VWEAPs are a different story).

For your mirrored weapon, make sure you have reset x-form (or the equivalent in your modeling package). If at any time you mirrored something durring making the model it can mess things up. If you're model is not appearing WYSIWYG, there's something wrong that you did. A common beginners error is to wait until you have a completed model to export. You should be exporting all through the modeling and texturing process, then loads more through the animation process. This will help you resolve issues as they arrise and give you the best understanding of how to do things.
