Hey there. I'm currently working on a project with fps creator. I spend several hours a day planning levels, fpi scripting, lighting, sounds etc. So far it's taken me 6 hours for about 5-10 minutes worth of play. That's how dedicated I am. I'm glad I don't need to programme of I would taken me forever to make some good stuff. So far I've designed one level and a title screen with my own design work. I've given it a good start. It took me a good half an hour to think up a decent enough title for my project. Eventually I came up with Zero Hope. I've made a pretty awesome design with the title. So yeah so far so good. Comment are welcome

That sounds great. But I am also working on a game, just like 80% of everyone here, so I dont think there are people that actually cares. Put up some screenies etc, then you will get more C&C.

Good luck! And almost welcome to the forum

Something that could cut your time would be a basic layout of the map you want, such as the thing attached. I wouldn't mind helping you out... oftentimes a basic visual idea of what you want to create is the start of a great game, and most importantly one that people understand. I can't do much more than what is attached, but if you're not doing it already, you might think of doing it yourself... as a concept, of course. Kind of like writing a story line before writing a novel. Well, hope you reply.

Trying to learn.

People do care but you need to show some of your work to be taken seriously.

It's great that your spending 6 hours per 10 minutes of game so lets see the result of your first 6 hours.

Personally I prefer to have nothing more than a setting, mood and starting location in mind when I start a map. I like to make the process as organic as possible and allow the map to evolve naturally.

It's probably better to go in knowing exactly what you want though.
