I modeled a head! Then I turbo smoothed the head and got it from 500 polys to over 6,000! I looks pretty good haha! Check it out.

Oh, and what do you think? BTW the ear looks weird to me but the reference model had a messed up ear I guess haha!

Here is the low poly one. I never took screen shots of wireframes before, so i dunno if I took it at the right angle or not.

Very nice! I don't know what your using to make the models but most programs have a way to turn of backfaces, it helps for taking wireframes.

Thanks!

I am using 3DS Max 9. I figured out how to turn off backfaces before, but I didn't think it would make much difference haha.

The front of the ear isn't protruding, its more flush with the side of the head...

If you can do any models for FW, reply to the FleetWars thread.

Ok, well I finished the model. I made his body and hands. It was for an assignment and we had to keep it under 1,500 polys, so i look away from his feet haha as you can probably tell. However with a nice texture no one would notice I suspect. I got it to 1,496 polys, I assume that's good, I never really had to put anything of my own that was modeled into a game before.

Here is a wireframe of the side and front, as well as a really quick render:
