Every time my machine is switched off and on again and I run X10, it keeps asking for my serial number. Once I put it in I can shut X10 down and start it again no problem, it's only after I've powered down that it keeps asking. How do I stop it asking every time?

Mine is doing that as well. Very annoying.

If a few more folks are experiencing this as well, we should post under bugs.

I contacted Customer Service and they said I needed to uninstall/reinstall x10.I think somebody might need to take a closer look...since this is happening to several of us.
I hate having to put in my serial number every time I fire up x10.

Also, the old uninstall/reinstall is starting to get tired. It's beginning to sound like a Mac / PC commercial. LOL

I think it has something to do with UAC in vista... mine was doing this as well... till I turned off UAC... Once I started with UAC off and put in my serial number it never asked me for it again.

Also there are some big advantages to working with UAC off... like you can edit FPE FPS files right in the Program Files directory and not have to copy them over.

I know what the problems is now but I don't know how to fix it, If you have X9 and X10 both installed on your PC and you decide to upgrade X9 to version 1.10.005 it affects X10 in some way causing X10 to ask for your serial number, If you enter your serial number into X10 and do not run X9, X10 will only ask for your serial number once no matter how many times you start and stop X10 but the minute you run X9 then stop X9 and try and run X10 again you will be asked for your serial number again, I hope I didn't confuse anyone but that is what's happening to my PC and I tried reinstalling X10 and it does the same thing.
Is this happening to anyone else besides me?

Hmm, that is strange, I have not seen that yet. It only asked me for the serial when I did the auto update. Than it works fine. Are you guys logged in as an Admin to have administrator rights?

Nt sure if that is the issue but I know when I am not an administrator it asks me for a serial...

This error only happens if you have X9 and X10 installed on the same PC with X9 upgraded to V1.10.005. So if you keep X9 at v1.09 or skip past V1.10.005 and go right to V1.11 you will never get this error, Lee said it was a registry key conflict that X9 was causing X10 to ask for your serial key every time you start up X10. but Lee fixed the problem now with V1.11 for X9,
So the moral of the story is stay at V1.09 or skip past 1.10.005 and use Beta V1.11 if you have both X9 and X10 on your PC
