Ok, this is what I do to make/export a model for use with DarkGDK
Tell me if I am doing anything incorrectly.
1) add a new mesh, shape it to how I like it
2) texture/shade it with already existing texture image.
3) save model as .blend format
4) export it as .3ds/.x file
5) put exported files and texture images in the same folder
6) use it in game.
when I do this, only an untextured model appears in my program.
do i need to UVmap it if there is an already existing image used to texture it?
i've been working on this for weeks and it is starting to tick me off
I can't figure what I'm doing wrong. I've also used other 3d modeling apps. (milkshape, wings, 3ds)
can someone point me to a comprehensive tutorial just for this specific topic? Blender only explains how to create, not how to export it for game uses.
