So here is the breakdown...
=============================
This is my first 'real' song, so I want as much comments and critique as humanly possible. I thought of this song, actually, in the shower (Don't ask...) My goal for this song was to combine a few techno elements into a video game composition. This was all made with free software and VST(i) effects and instruments (MU.TOOLS, Audacity, and Wavosaur) and obviously, the name of this composition is 'Dark Forest'.

Give it a listen, and comment if you can

-Dan

EDIT: A few more things... The EQ VST I used was called 'Classic EQ',the reverb VST I used was called 'Classic Reverb', and the synth VSTi that I used was called 'Abakos'. And yes, the song is short

It's not a bad start, but my first reacton was that I felt that some of the different synths did not fit toghether. It was like I was listening to 2 different songs at 18-30s. The synths are competing with each other to be in the "front".

Adding more synths doesn't necessarily make a track "better", the way they sound together does.

I'm sure others can give you something more constructive as I'm not tought in the ways of criticism.

20 views and no reply. Why must I always be the bastard that lets everyone down? Come on guys.

Anymore comments? Please? How am I supposed to improve if I barely have anything to go by?

Haha, I expected some epic song judging by the title.
Cool synh sounds though.
I think that the intro sounds prety good, but then will have to agree with Grandma that the sound mixture at the middle of the song sounds like it doesn't really fit together - some tones should probably be changed, or removed alltogether in that part.

Also, I think that the strings pad has a bit too long reverb, as the chords are not just blending into each other but more overtuning for a while eah time the chord is changed.

But hey, for a first song, it's pretty good.
Keep at it.
