Hey everyone

Qmidi music composer is finaly finished.

(Free midi composer) and it will even save as the *.mid file
or record to wav with some simple setup first.

Have fun

goto the wip forums to see some songs and screen shots.
This download also comes with plenty of example songs.

(Need direct x 9.0c)

the help system is not finished yet....so bare with me

There is a new update for download that allows users to upload and download song files.

Another New update: July 11/08

Rudolpho has made a very nice qmidi_online.

using the qmidi software you can now:
-go online and check out a growing music data base.
-upload your own creations
-post comments on yours and other peoples songs.
-Rate them from a scale of 1-10.

It looks realy dang good! Nice Job Rudolpho

Just keep in mind that the rating does not update until you close the online browser.

Its well worth checking out and free of coarse.

Im hoping rudolpho will post his ballad song hes been working on. Its the best song so far done with qmidi

Anyhow, to all XP users: you don't have to restart the online section; everything updates just fine.
Apparently this doesn't work all of the time with Vista though (no real idea why).

Just a quick update:

Fixed a small problem on Qmidi_online.
Programmed a little speed hack into qmidi for playback.

Now on slower machines it should play back better!
Dont worry about the sync rate suddenly dipping below 10 fps...lol
Its no longer calculated properly once you start playing back your music.

what i did:
old version

do
check to advance tunes
sync
loop

new version

do
check to advance tunes and sync if advanced
sync if not playing
loop

and that seems to have speeded up play back by alot!

Just a WARNING! to those that are going to be idiots....

If you are going to post music on Qmidi Online please actualy post music. Its not ment for posting messages such as swear words. Someone decided it would be funny to post a song that spelled out a swear word.

Remember that qmidi is currently free with no registration requirments. If this kind of stuff keeps happening there will most
likely not even be a version 2. And i will have to close the online server or put more restrictions on with registration requirments.

I have deleted that file off the server and i hope that this does not happen again.

Qmidi online is for people to post music examples to help give eachother ideas on how to write tunes and to get ideas of what the editor is capable of doing.

Please dont abuse anymore! Or it will possibly get shut down.

Oh i actualy just remembered! Qmidi does register users automaticaly. When you upload music it makes a few files. One being the computer user that uploaded that song. It doesnt have details about the user except just the machine they run qmidi off of.

With that info i can ban you from even running any future upgrades or versions from your pc.

So thats the warning! Any more junk like that being posted will make you banned from future upgrades and versions!

It wasn't me I don't have the internet at my house.

Anyways I had a question for you: Do you have a complete version of that fur elise.qmo file? It was very interesting to see it, but it sucked when I saw that all the notes weren't there. If you have a note set for the entire one I wouldn't mind completing it for you (If you like).

Ya i had just written a quick 2 pages just to see if the tones were all set proper for the play back.

I will write the full song for ya......just give me a few days and i will post it

That's pretty cool. You don't have to if you don't want to (write the full song, that is), writing the software in the first place was nice enough.

You should really make use of the (somewhat) new sustain pedal controller if you rewrite it.
It would sound a lot nicer
