This may be a stupid question, but I'll go ahead and ask.

I want to make a map editor program. Those who have looked over my previous posts know that I'm working on a system for sorting and drawing 2D tile-maps from a vector. It's going fairly well. But, I need a method of easily editing the vector map. So, I thought I'd make a simple click-to-change editing program. There's only one problem: I don't see anything in the documentation on how to determine the X and Y position of the mouse. I only see functions that return the difference in position from this frame to the next.

Please help.

Just below the ones you looked at:
dbMouseX() / dbMouseY() / dbMouseZ()

Then again, it may be a brilliant question...idunno.
Cheers.

Any chance my documentation is corrupted/outdated?

No, but if you click on the open book icon that says Input...and then direct your attention to the right pane...you will see what I mean. Documentation error in the left pane, but the info you want is in the right pane...just below the ones you cited. Have another look.

Thanks.

You'd think that, after all the work put into building an engine, they would at least make sure that the documentation was accurate. :/

You'd think so, but...you'd be wrong.

Pretty much all documentation is flawed. Plus, the include files need some work, too. There are at least two errors I've seen so far.

The upside is that you've got the function calls you need, and GDK is still a fabulous development system.

Cheers.

I think the license says no level editors... sorry.

Wait, what? All the program I'd be making would do is edit a vector of int's and bool's.

I know, it's stupid. But they don't allow it. I have no idea why. If I were you... well, personally, I'd go ahead anyway. It used to be called an SDK, anyway.

I understand a 3D level editor. But all I'm doing is making a program that edits a vector of int's and bool's. So, am I breaking the law?!? That's effed up.
