Hi,
you have to use the prepare matrix texture command before you use the set matrix tile command.

here is the syntax
prepare matrix texture matrix number, image number, across, down

set matrix tile matrix number, tilex, tilez, tile number

hope this helps

Yeah guyz, but what is that tilenumber in the end. Should prepare the matrix texture with many images? COuldn't it just be image number and everything would be easier.

Each matrix can use a portion of 1 image. imagine a patchwork quilt that is split into many sections. e.g. an image that is 1024 * 1024 could be split into 16 images that are 256 * 256, like following:

01 02 03 04
05 06 07 08
09 10 11 12
13 14 15 16

you load this into an image using LOAD IMAGE

then you create your matrix,

then PREPARE MATRIX TEXTURE 1,1,4,4

(example assumes matrix number=1 and image number=1)

the tilenumber then goes from 1 to 16 in SET MATRIX TILE command.

Hope that makes sense!

I posted this question a while back but I can't find my old post . If I use this feature (set matrix tile) then a line appears around each tile. The only way to fix it was to turn off texture filtering, which made the textures look crap.

Anyone know of a better fix?
