Ok.

lol jk.

No they are working on one, but complaining about vista and whatnot is not going to make it any faster. Relax and wait. and if you dont like vista with fpsc then use x9 untill the x9 migration gets released.

yeah, i have a X10 Graphics card, just not vista because it mildly sucks and i can run X10 Programs just not FPSCX10 Because it only works with vista, maybe in two years once the hundreds of bugs are fixed and theres enough programs compatible with it to make it worth it i will convert over but they should have just made FPSCX10 Run on X10 Graphics cards not just Vista.

Its interesting to see people cursing at Vista, I've been using it for a long time by now, and it works fine. No compatibility issues, nothing! Its more advanced, and has some better controls once you get used to it.

Although sometimes you must manually register some dll's to get something to run, Vista is nothing bad at all.(NOTE : On XP you also have to manually register some DLL's every now and then, so don't take that as a point to hate Vista...)

Really don't understand the Vista complaints.

The only minor point is the fact it requires a larger amount of hard drive space for installation.

Everything else is better and the driver support argument can't be relied upon anymore. I've been using Vista for 6 months now and not had a single driver problem. Sure if your using a badly supported 3rd party device manufacturer from 5 years ago you might need to upgrade that particular device. Deal with it.

Vista, Directx 10 and FPSC X10 are the way forward. Microsoft and TGC aren't going to take a backwards step. XP only has another year of support left in it anyway and I hope it passes quickly so we can move on from these X9 vs X10 debates.

XP won't suddenly disappear because support will stop from Microsoft. The OS will still be used for up to 3 even 4 years after that (even by gamers) and certainly by developers (bigger user base).

Another point to consider is the new operating system from Microsoft that is already overdue. It was scheduled for release this year. Vista as good or as bad as people think it is (I'm getting used to it now on the other comp) is heading for the same lifespan that Windows ME had (ugh!) The new OS has been delayed by approx 2 years due to problems. I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of people considering moving to vista have never heard about the new OS, Microsoft are keeping it fairly quiet, but a lot of hardcore PC enthusiasts are waiting for the new OS and won't even consider Vista, seeing it only as a stop gap measure (Win ME).

The original poster wants X10 features on X9. That is exactly what Lee is doing now, working toward the migration V2.00 I hope that it is completed soon so X10 can be upgraded to something like it originally promised to be.
