Now I have finished my car game engine that works properly in a matrix. So it stays on the gorund and rotates with it. The Tank source helped me with this. So now I need to know how could I make this same thing with .x or bsp map. I know how to get it stay on the ground but how to make it rotate? Please answer if you have anykind of an idea of this. Thanx...

If you check the 3d shooter example that came with the dark basic pr cd it will prabily have it in there because they use a bsp map format being used there.

AMD Atherlon 2400+ XP, 380 DDr memeory, ATI Radeon 9000 64 DDR.

And a Katana.

Yeah, but that is 3d shooter so the rotation thing isn't needed, so I don't think it is there. But thanx for answer. But In Car Game this rotation thing is very important.

I can't suggest a way for a BSP-based world, but here's the idea for an Object-based terrain.

At the moment, you must be using GET GROUND HEIGHT() to get the height of each wheel. You can use INTERSECT OBJECT() to find out where the object is under each wheel.

Do an INTERSECT OBJECT from below your object to a point above it...

groundheight#=INTERSECT OBJECT(groundobj, wheelx#, -10.0, wheelz#, wheelx#,100.0, wheelz#) - 10.0

Thanx very much. Thought I have to code a new engine 'cause I made this rotation code as it's made in tank2 and I dosen't get ground height from each wheel, but It uses some weird method. But thanx still.

Wait a moment. I think the source uses the wheel method after all. Maybe I can use this intersect thing. Thanx alot.
