I am really excited about participating in the upcoming competition, however, I am having a lot of trouble getting the trial programs to work. I am running under Vista Ultimate, AMD X2 3800+, 3 Gb PC@ 6400 in dual channel mode, 512Mb OCed 8800 GT.

The basic problem is when trying to run the demo files, and instead I get an error saying something about a file called "Nxcooking.dll". For reasons I won't go into here, my version of Windows insists of displaying error messages in Dutch, which I do not speak.

Any hints would be very much appreciated.

I had the same exact problem... To fix this I think just install the latest sdk. Try that, another solution involved moving the .dlls from the plugins-licensed to the folder of the sample you are trying to run, nasty... but it should work.
