I made a thread a while ago, before I got permission to sell in the store. While my mum sorts out the contract and stuff, I decided to make a new thread showing what will be in the store, and my WIPs. Thanks to CG Textures for some base textures, and the unedited wall textures. The mat, rug and floors are all my work

Thanks guys!

Yes, it is EFX, but I didnt like reverting back to 1.07 to use it. It confused me, i kept clicking at the top for the library tabs

The texture on the wall on the last screenie is from CGtextures.

Quote: "- Selling 3D models bundled with modified versions of the textures, when the texture is customized for the 3D model"

From their license. And it has not been modified.

Technically, making it seamless classes as modifying.

An you know the corugated room in the TGC store? Under TGC? That's also taken from cg-textures. That's no more modified than mine.

I think it means more along the lines of heavy modification.

Yeah, but look at the corrugated room in the TGC store, by TGC themselves.

I cant wait to see these in the TGC store. I LOVE the dock! Does FPSmedia have any chance of seeing these in the user store?

In the contract it clearly sais you have to own all rigths to the model/textures etc in order to sell it in the store. If you have permission, then great.

I like your models so far! And ar you still working on your entry in Horror weapon contest?

I believe that CG textures allows their stuff for commercial or non commercial, so I do not believe you need permission...but I don't know.

NEW BARN ADDED! Hope you like it! (Looks plain for a reason, so you can add your own boxes and stuff without making it look like the same model over and over)

This is th first of a few horror buildings i will be making... stay tuned!

I really, REALLY like these. Especially the dock. I am strongly against you using the textures from CG Textures. It may be legal, but it should all be your own work.

Well it's your choice as to whether you buy it or not... And as there have been 16 downloads on the corrugated room which uses cg-textures, i'm pretty sure i'll have a few buyers.

Hey Aaagreen ever thought about FPSM? They are excellent models. Just pure great work. Also, about the license.

Customized for the 3d model means that its been altered for the UV map. So it is allowed.

Using CG Textures is completely valid. Plenty of industry professionals use that site as well, it's hardly cheating. As long as you don't rely on a site like that for EVERYTHING, otherwise people start to recognize stuff and it comes off as laziness.

I use that site myself quite a bit, usually for grunge overlays and such. Even used a metal texture from there as an overlay for the zombie sawblade. Especially nice if I don't want to be bothered going outside to the cold cruel world with my digital camera.

How about some corrugated metal shanties and worksheds? Maybe some sawhorses, etc, things like that.

Corrugated metal sheds.... hmmmm!

No. Not unless I and TGC used the same stock image.

Thanks! We just need a bigger envelope, then we'll send both copies to the address.

I could, but for now, keep to making new stuff. Coming up soon = A amell pack of sewer corridor segments. Stay tuned.

Both the barn and dock are available in the Moon-Rising store, and the dock will be in the TGC store as soon as I get the screens sorted. Both stores are selling the items for the same price.
