I was recently constructing a level which was getting 38 FPS consistently. In one of my test builds I chose to check "Automatic Floor" in the Preferences dialogue box and the frame rate dropped to 17!

Can anyone else confirm this?

Yes I get this too. What a bummer. I don't even know what it does though so it's no loss to me

It creates a layer of common ground on the very bottom of your map, from corner to corner.

Thanks Little Bill.

I believe it paints a floor tile over the entire map at level 0. It is listed under the heading "Optimizations" which is why I thought it may help with performance - instead it halves it!

I thought to bring it up in case people have checked this and forgotten about it and are getting low FPS and long build times.

Cheers
