Hey,

I recently had the urge to make a zombie game. I also wanted to use Audacity for something as I've had it on my harddrive for months now and never used it. Anyway, some screenies:

At the moment the demo is Uploading to megaupload, I'll post the DL link later and update the first post.

The Download Link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YC19QKUT

The file is a 7z file. You need something that extracts them. I use WinRAR.

Nice lightening - just make sure to include the light source as well!

The LD looks OK, too, but there are some things I would change - like using the metal stairs of the MP3 when climbing to the metal platform of MP3, instead of the stone stairs.

Come to where the madness is:

Good demo!

I really enjoyed it. I love zombie games as a whole and this one was good. Lighting was pretty good, good use of entities and so forth.

Where did you get the blood overlays from? and quite a few other models I've never seen!

I really am looking forward to level 2!

@Aydan, Little Bill is a modeler. So some of that stuff might be custom.

@Little Bill, looks great. I really like it. I will try out the demo soon.

Thanks Guys.

@ Ertlov, I did at first. But it seemed to lag more than those stairs.(whick is odd as I'm sure the stone stairs have more polies). Once I release the full game I'll have to optimize that room a little more as there was a small lag spot just before going into the next room.

I don't care much for megaupload, but demo was awsome, i tend to like mediafire.com better because of the less ads.

Little Bill,

Very nice demo. Aside from some decal issues, the level design, entity placement, lighting, etc were very good. The decals being off or in the walls may be dependent on the users video card, I'm not sure, but I applaud you for their use and creation. I had to smile when I saw the escalator!

I hope you continue with it. Even a zombie game can be fun and interesting to play.

Best.

Just downloaded the demo; and ran out of ammo a few times lol. Had to keep restarting. The game is exellent for a zombie game. Made me jump when the fat sod appeared from nowhere lol. First time i've jumped in a few years. Excellent job

GeTaClue, thanks, glad you like it. I've always used megaupload to upload my files and I'm sure a few ad's doesn't matter.

Changes, thanks!

xplosys, I only got 1 decal problem and that was the bloodsplat in one of the little rooms you can't get into. Hehe, I do love those escalators along with the rest of your models.

Crazy Cam10, yeah. I tried to keep ammo limited and supplies scarce. Glad you enjoyed it.

To all. I do wish to continue with this. I don't intend this game to be too serious (hence the name) nor do I want it to be taken serious. I wish to make it a little silly as well as trying to scare people on occasions. There was very little media of my own in there apart from the voices (which were pretty crap I gotta admit) and a few models here and there. I hope I can get some more of my own media in there.

That was probably the only thing i could point out which needs a tad improvement on. Get a new mic and you should be fine. I just ran through it again. Literally ran lol.
Ran out of ammo after the first 2 zombies; so i just legged it. xD
