I dunno about you, but If you've been receiving PayPal Verify emails lately, avoid clicking the link provided. It's (of course) some peoples attempts to fraudulently obtain money from you. IF you examine the link carefully, you'll notice the (pay to) email address embedded within these so called verify link

So a general rule of thumb, never click any of these links, there's now too many scammers around today.. Just log into your paypal and check your news by hand. Report any suss emails to paypal.com

I never do, but thanks for giving others the heads up.

The PayPal thing is always fun . . .

. . .

But, now that you mention it, I am an official from the Nigerian gov't, and we are looking for someone to help us discreetly resolve problems with some of our former military dictatorship's bank accounts in the United States. All we ask of you is that you provide a bank account number, and we will give 20% of the $5,800,000 US to you.

I give you this message faithfully as a totally (please believe me sir, I am nicer than warm apple pie on a February morning) honest servant of my people trying to help my nation out of turmoil.

BTW -- KY stock is looking good. Heard it's going to be upgraded to a "BUY" by Solomon Smith Barney on Monday after 2Q earnings come in.

We can't stop here! This is bat country!

The funniest thing is that on average 100 or so people each year actually fall for the scam

i think more than 100 would fall for it... i find it amusing as i don't get the newletters of "important updates" from paypal (unchecked the box) so its amusing these people who scan for account names and you find an email in your inbox posing at PayPal even though you know it can't be hehee.

never read them when i got them past the title, stuff like "we're adding Yen to your banking possibilities" and such always found the title more than descriptive and just delete hehee

UW: Actually - my mom got one of those from Ebay and Paypal - she fell for it, putting in all the information. She changed it all tho, cancelled the credit card and everything.

Thanks for warning everyone - everyone - heads up!

Someone went along with the Soutrh African President thing for weeks, and exchanged dozens of emails. Anyone have the link, I can't remember where I saw it? It's a fantastic read.

Thanks in advance.

Greetings,

We need a vendor who can offer immediate supply.
I'm offering $5,000 US dollars just for referring a vender which is
(Actually RELIABLE in providing the below equipment) Contact details
of vendor required, including name and phone #. If they turn out to be
reliable in supplying the below equipment I'll immediately pay you
$5,000. We prefer to work with vendor in the Boston/New York area.

1. The mind warper generation 4 Dimensional Warp Generator # 52 4350a
series wrist watch with z80 or better memory adapter. If in stock the
AMD Dimensional Warp Generator module containing the GRC79 induction
motor, two I80200 warp stabilizers, 256GB of SRAM, and two Analog
Devices isolinear modules, This unit also has a menu driven GUI
accessible on the front panel XID display. All in 1 units would be
great if reliable models are available

2. The special 23200 or Acme 5X24 series time transducing capacitor
with built in temporal displacement. Needed with complete
jumper/auxiliary system

3. A reliable crystal Ionizor with unlimited memory backup.

4. I will also pay for Schematics, layouts, and designs directly
from the manufature which can be used to build this equipment
from readily available parts.

If your vendor turns out to be reliable, I owe you $5,000.

Email his details to me at: info@federalfundingprogram.com

Please do not reply directly back to this email as it will
only be bounced back to you.

As you can see, I get some right ones at work! The equipment listed would be enough to start building a time machine...

Good news everyone! I really am THAT good...
