all of the things ive downloaded work. i downloaded the NVidia drivers and SDK and the demos on there work...so I know its the trial verson of darkbasic that isnt working correctly.

Ive put the plugins-licensed files into my project file, id downloaded d3dx9_37 and placed that in both the windows/system folder AS WELL AS my own proect folder....and it in theory should all work...

BUT IT DOESNT!
i dont get an error message as such...i get a prompted every time i compile which says that an error has occured and that the file needs to be closed.

ive looked through the forum for anyone with a similar situation to me and yet no-one seems to. now i know my pc is able to run the NVidia stuff becos ive run the demos and they work fine..but its simply wen i try and compile files that it seems to...well....crash completely

can anyone help?

ok so check that these file are in the plugins-licensed folder.

1. Darkhysics.dll
2. NxCharacter.dll
3. Nx Cooking.dll
4. NxExtenstions.dll
5. PhysXLoader.dll

Add them to the project folder too, where your demo executable resides

He might be having the same problem I have regarding the d3dx9-37.dll. Mine crashes with no error message also, then opens my browser. Only when the physics codes are called, and only with the Dark Physics upgrade.

I'm now running fine with newest DirectX, newest Nvidia drivers, DBPro upgrade 6.9, the un-upgraded Dark Physics and no d3dx9-37.dll. And Vista. This weekend I'm going to try the full monte on my older XP machine to see if that makes a difference. I've been running into occassional problems with DBP and some of its related programs on Vista.
