Modeling Newbies or anyone else interested:
Free Male Base Mesh: not a perfect ready to use model, but a good start for beginners.

Made in ZBrush(zspheres) and edited in Maya

Zip file includes: maya scene(.mb), .obj file, .x file

Started this model for one of my projects and then changed styles...

hope this is useful for some of you.

Hmm... Well you didn't ask for Crits but it can only improve you right? First a piece of advice given to me by RUCCUS that help me alot, read this It help show me how to use edge loops properly and greatly improved my organic models. The other thing is that it seems to have way to many polys in it, but don't worry about that comming from me because I am very cheap with polys so it could be just me. Overall it's a nice model though

1500 and below is good for character models. Depending on the look you are going for of course.

thx DB PROgrammer,
Yeah I didnt bother taking this model very far as I wasn't sure exactly what direction to take it. not very much time in this.

as far as too many polys, I havent modeled for a db project in a while (maybe its high for that), but in general my Zbrush sculps run about 1million+ polys, however you can lower the resolution and export at much lower polys.

Oh no, it's fine for DBPro. Like Osiris said 1500 is around the standard i'm just really cheap with polys
