Thanks. I really appreciate all of your help. It's good to have backup. But, I'm really enthusiastic about learning this. It really fascinates me. I'm going through chapter 1 right now.

Well, it turns out I do have a question. I just read about signed and unsigned numbers in hex and binary. I think I understand it, but I'd like to make sure since it's important.

+5 = 0000 0101
-5 = 1111 1011

Though that doesn't literally equal -5, it will be interpreted as -5 if told it's signed, correct?

Yes, if it's printed as a signed character it will be -5.

I've run into a problem. The online version of that book excludes all of the programming examples/exercises that actually show you assembly language ( the first four chapters, at least ). The explanations aren't making complete since when I'm not even using assembly. If you look at the contents page, there are whole sections explaining what software to use and how to code in assembly. But, you can't view them. Any suggestions?

I have a question. I've googled for an answer, and can't find one due to the utter lack of information on this kind of thing on the internet ( in comparison to C and C++, of course ).

I can't figure out how to make an exe from assembly code. I can make an .obj file, but can't figure out what to do from there. I hate to sound stupid, but I really can't find the answer to this.
