Hey guys, sry to bother you all with this, considering many ppl have already posted the problem, but here it is anyways. I am part of a clan that thought it would be a good idea to make just a fun all around game to play when we have some down time. So of course I get to work. Making the game part is easy (of course) but I have yet to figure out the ip situation... My ip doesn't show up, and when ppl try to join game they get stuck at the waiting to join screen.

Now I have read posts on the forum about port forwarding your router with the port # 2303... I have done that, I have allowed the program through my windows firewall and have even turned the darn thing off. Still no luck. I whent into the game's (the one I have put together) setup.ini file and changed the multiplayergame = 0, to a 1, now it shows FE80 in the ip box on the main page... that is definitly not it.

Now what really has me is the fact I sent the game to a Clan mate and his IP was there when I went to join his game. He doesn't have anything portforwarded as far as for this game, and his firewall is on. The only difference here is that he has Windows XP, and I am using Windows Vista Ultimate. So if you guys can help me on this... I would love you for the rest of my life HEHE!

Thank you guys so much

Try having him forward port 2303 on his router and turn off his firewall, just like you did and see if he can see your IP.

It is also possible that the problem could be the way Windows XP and Windows Vista handles network and internet connections.

it's probably Vista so try Rick's advice or get XP(FPSC doesn't like Vista)

Found where the "fe80" is coming from... here is a screen

Does anyone know how I can change this to show a regular IP with FPSC?

Apparently it is looking at the IPv6 instead of the IPv4 like it should... is there a setting in FPSC that is causing this.. Thank you
