Great, just what the world needs. (sarcasm)

Anyway, you'd have to create a custom animation sequence.
Then you'd could just write a script calling that sequence
and killing the character when she/he sees the player.
Be sure to use 'search' for info on scripting and animation.
Give it a try before you ask for details.

No.

However, you can teach yourself. Go to google and search on animation tutorial fragmotion milkshape model or some combination of these keywords. Or other keywords.

animating is not a skill that can merely be "taught"...animating is more of a technique than a skill. you cant just learn how to animate over night, it takes practice...lots of practice

I use milkshape 3d for x9 but I can't find one for x10, all i found for x10 was costing $1,000,000,000! That software isn't even worth $100.

Modeling is the same for X10 as X9.
It's the textures that are different.

There are plenty of milkshape tutorials out there.
They are free and they cover animation. Some of them
are video tutorials. That's far better help than you
will get here. Just use google to find them. And yes,
milkshape does support .x files.

Yes you can.
I use Milkshape.

From the menu....
Tools --> DX Mesh tools --> Open your DX model --> Save

Please use Google to help you find answers. I know it would have pointed you to a page with this answer.

enough with the do a google search posts if thats all your going to post. Your wasting your time and everyone elses, help this guy or stop posting your crap.

Everytime an importing question comes up especially. This is x10's official forum this is a place for answers not google. I know I personally have searched google and this forum for quite a bit of help on importing characters/weapons/entity's directly into x10 and have found next to nothing.

And your post helps us how?
Ever hear the old proverb about teaching a man to fish?

There is nothing wrong with trying to show people how to find answers rather than just giving them. When I suggest a search, IT IS because I have already done the search and have seen for myself that it yields the desired results. Doing the work for someone isn't helping them, it's just assuring that they won't even try in the future. They'll just rely on you.

I would also recommend that you don't tell someone else to help someone. That's just rude on so many levels. I'm sorry you have grown frustrated with doing searches yourself. But as I said, in this case, the answer really was there.

Enough with this, you're not trying to help a single person by suggesting a "google search", don't try to spin it like you did something profound. Also please tell us exactly what you search for in google to find how to import models with animations into x10.

As far as there's nothing wrong with it, perhaps you should read all the stickies seeing as it is against the rules:

The old saying "If you've got nothing nice to say, don't say nothing at all" applies to this community. In other words, if someone's asked a question that has been asked/answered many times over; either help them out, or don't respond.

Posts that include something to the effect of "Read the Manual", "Do a Search", "Stop pushing our relevant threads down", etc.; will no longer be tolerated. This community needs to understand that new people are in fact welcomed here. If you feel the need to use the FPSC Boards as a form of personal therapy, by putting others down or berating them for asking a question...then you need to find a new home.

If someone has issue with a particular thread or post...contact an FPSC Mod about it. Don't bash the person (aka start a flamewar) openly.

If your "relevant thread" gets bumped to page 2; simply enter a post like "I still need help with this problem", etc. That will bring it back up.

Again....this is now the RULE here, please abide by it or leave

There seems to be a bit of irony in your post. But that's irrelevant. More on point, I told him exactly how to do his import.

Per your request, here's how to fish young grasshopper....

1. Google search on -> milkshape .x import

2. The very first hit will yield fruit.

Apr 15, 2005 ... Use 3D Milkshape, its DX tool will let you import an .x file and you can then export to .3ds http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/ ..."

3. The third or fourth hit will actually give you an answer as well. And ironically enough, it points to TGC forums!
Quote: "The Game Creators - Forum - View Thread

Granted, not everything gets you such a straight forward answer. But if you want people who know more than you to help you, it's always good to show that you tried.

And while I think it's cute that you are sharing the rules of the boards with me, I don't think I'll leave just yet.

If you've anything constructive to add regarding the original request(s), feel to post. If you want to comment further about me and/or my methods, I would welcome the email.

Happy Gaming!
