Here is a new download link for the 'Road Rage' segment Pack.
Reason- I have just found out that the old link I had posted has expired.

All the best of luck.

Sorry, I forgot the screenshots.
Here are a few old ones I found showing some of the contents of the pack.
By the way the 'Road Rage Pack also includes the 'Abby Road' and 'Penny Lane' segment packs.

I'm sure the metal city ones will work great with your "mech city" TGC store items. Thanks for re-sharing.

How to get characters to walk on the roads.

The one major drawback about these road (which, in Ross' defence is a problem with FPSC, not his road pack) is that because they are overlays and not actual segments, enemies would just walk on the spot and not move...

well not anymore!

I'm sure I'm not the first to come up with this solution but I'll give it to you here...

An invisible floor segment, not overlay.

Just download the floor segment and unzip it somewhere into your 'segments' folder. The segment itself is black in the editor but completely invisible when playing the game:

This will allow any characters / enemies to walk on the roadway wherever you've laid a black floor.

There are pro's and con's:

Pro's
Enemies can now walk on the roads!

Con's
As the floor segments are black, it is possible you can delete the overlay below them and you won't be able to tell so be careful. If you do you can just put the overlay back in without the floor segment being deleted. Is it possible to produce a texture through which you can see the road in the editor but will be completely invisible playing the game?

The enemies won't walk up / down the little curb as it's all one flat floor to them.

When the player walks on it, it will sound like stone (just in case you wish to use it elsewhere).

I hope it works for you. Good Luck.

Well done mate, the video looks cool and the technique seems to work very well.
If I think of any other way to get characters moving on the roads I will redo the pack.

Again, very nice work and cheers.

All the best of luck.
