What is the easyist route to take:

Modeling

or

Scripting

I wanna do modeling because you can make anything but it will take while and cost money.

But

I wanna do scripting because you can turn FPS creator into somthing special like what people have done with mods and stuff and all you need is knowlage and notepad.

The easiest would be scripting but it would be useless in the long run whereas modelling will earn you a lot of money if you get good at it.

It depends really, do you ultimately want to be a programmer or a modellor?

I find scripting easy as pie, but I can't manage to quite get my models looking that good, and I'm sure there are great modellors out there who can't script their way out of a cardboard box......it depends on which you're good at......

So games make them selves, do they? I'm pretty sure you'll get payed more to make Half-Life 2 itself then make all the models for it...

I'm talking about FPI scripting. As I'm sure the Half Life 2 engine didn't run on FPI. Unless he stays with FPSC forever and never moves forward it would become useless as soon as you move away from FPSC.

Oh, and don't get smartass with me.

You didnt specify that, you just said scripting was useless in the long run.

Of course it didnt, but im pretty sure that if you can learn one programming language, no matter how easy, others become easier.

Dont say stuff that deserves a smartass response and you wont get any.

This wouldn't have happened if you went by that. Now shut up before we get slapped.

Not really, I'll admit, I think I'm pretty damn good at FPI, but it has a completely different syntax, and it works quite differently to things like C, C++ or C#......

Someone who can do FPI would know that, and please Aaagreen, stop stomping on the new members, it doesn't make you look good, quite the opposite infact....
