People have been saying that this engine is not getting enough attention and there is a good reason because of the the plan is like this

A. Before X10 Released: Stop with original FPS Creator and work on FPS Creator X10

B. X10 is released: Go back to original add more updates to merge the original FPS Creator with X10's new features now been nicknamed V2

C. FUTURE: FPS Creator original will have features almost the same to X10 and X10 (possibly) will have new and exclusive features

I'd say there's a reason, not a "good reason."

Had that plan been laid out prior to the X10 release, many of us might have stayed with X9 until X10 got full and permanent attention.

Rofl nice PoD.

The only people that I know beta tested, apart from everyone at TGC, is bond1, because he made a lot of excellent models for it.

That really doesn't sound like a TGC statement.

So you mean that in the future, when X9 has all the base features of X10, and some more, it would still be worth buying X10? This seems a bit of a bad move, X9 is good and can be improved, but who would want to but a program for mildly improved graphics, when another (cheaper) version with mildly poorer graphics is coming, and will have even more tools? Something wrong there...

Also 3D Ninja, I'm not sure about the rest of the community, but without backup from TGC staff I can believe your part of them, As if you were, you wouldn't forget your account details, and you could have them reset just by talking to you co-worker.

FPSC X10 suffers since so few people have switched to Windows Vista and have a supported DX10 graphics card. According to the latest Steam stats only 16% of gamers have Vista! That's low if you're in doubt and remember that not all of these few have the high end graphics card required. A lot of them will probably have some loussy integrated card with shared memory since they are laptops running Vista.

And yes, you can always say that "in the future everybody will have Vista and killer gfx cards" but reality is that we are far away from that at the moment.

I think FPSC X10 did pretty much everything right but it doesn't matter much when people don't have the computer to run it.

I think he meant to tell that FPSC X10 will get its updates, but AFTER X9 has gotten some major ones. So in due time, the FPS Creator X10 costumers will get their bug fixes, but for now its not the market target yet.

i doubt that x9 will even come close in v2
dont build your hopes up for a masive revamped x9,
as it is not capable of x10 features running xp,
there are a few good mods worth thinking about for
x9 but doubt if they will reach the status of x10
for performance.

It's not supposed to reach the status of x10. It's just taking a few features from x10. V2 will be very good, but it won't be like having FPSC X10 on windows XP.

Your getting warmer

and you are the winner! think of it this way they will take base features from X10 --> X9, but X10 will still have DirectX10 exclusive features I think I had a list some where, but I think from X10 to X9 will be like ragdolls, sliders and water I can't remember, but don't get your hopes up for anything RickV is still working on it

EDIT: to prove to all you non-believers here is an e-mail I got from rick during the beta test (so did the other beta testers) pic attached

Well, that IS the e-mail address of Rick, atleast... the one he uses to respond with.

Oh, and Rick doesn't work on it, Lee does. Rick just organizes beta's and handles some customer support. Lee is the programmer
