It's funny how aside from Punk13, all the people that have been nominated haven't posted in this thread.

If you do become a mod, type as good as you can though... The biggest problem with most people here is, is that they type as if they are in a chatroom. Which is fairly annoying, and sounds pretty immature.

Well, if anyone actually typed like that, they would surely not be nominated for being a MOD.

Well I'd just like to say a big thank you to those that put my name forward... I have to admit when I clicked on this thread seeing my name was not something I expected... Even more so when it was from people who I haven't really had any correspondence with... I'll admit it felt good... I've got no chance of being picked though...

It must be hard for a mod as people definitely expect them to act in a certain way... plus they get a certain amount of abuse from some members... Some of you may even have been on the receiving end of an email which contained a very unflattering photoshop that someone did of FredP because they didn't like a decision he made...

I think you have a great chance of being picked. I know for a fact that you would make a great MOD. There is a good chance that some of the people nominated don't even want to be a MOD. I'm sure you would like to be a MOD because you love being the secondary admin at my forums from what I can tell.

Quote: "It must be hard for a mod as people definitely expect them to act in a certain way"

Which I think is another reason you should be the next MOD. You already have the role model figure people look up to and expect from a MOD.

Well, the random capitilization is also my problem, but thats mainly because I've always written that way. I tend to avoid it though.

Wow ive been nominated by what...2 people, not alot but that says alot to me that more than one person thinks im good enough to be a mod around here, and that in itself is cool enough makes my 3+ years around here pay off lol.

in all honesty, i really dont know who i would vote for being a mod... probably nickydude because of his general knowledge of fpsc, he always seems to have the right answer to anyones questions around here. But, plystire would be good also. he has a really good set of morals (Not saying nickydude doesnt, but i know plystire better.) Either of them two would be a good choice. But i personally think we need 2+ more mods. the more mods we have the less chances there are of dumb/bad posts around.

edit- you know its crazy this is the second time tgc has done this, and this time is even weirder than the last, people ive known around here for 3+ years getting nominated for mod status. Another one of us Veteran fpsc members will become a mod. its a trip.

You'll Know When You See It.

Thraxas or Nickydude would be great. Both are helpful, polite and mature. I've never seen abuse or bickering from either of them.

Despite being mentioned, I am not interested in moderating these boards.

The thoughtful suggestion is greatly appreciated just the same...

Hard to just pick one. TGC will have a difficult time I think.

Plystire, if he thinks he has the time. Nickydude, if he thinks he has the time (of course, at least his manual's done). More coffee dudes?

Thraxes because he always seems fair, helpful and writes well. He also seems to know the rules as well.

I like Punk 13 but you need to be able to slow down your typing because you tend to have a lot of typos. Maybe you could use a spell checker, as well. The biggest issue is that you didn't know that a Platypus really existed. Just joking. You would make a fine addition to the mod squad.

A couple I didn't mention as they already intimated they would rather not become a mod.

Addendum:

I can't believe that I forgot another person. I guess it's because I haven't seen him around the forums much except for his thread in the models forum.

I think xplosys would make a good mod, if he thinks he has the time. More coffee?

Wow... S4real told me that I had been nominated for being a moderator, but I couldn't believe it. That's means a lot. Even people who I thought didn't like me much nominated me. That was a big "Wow". (Thanks, Flatlander, for linking me here, else I may never have found it!)

Well, I may not have time for working on Ply's Mod, but I do seem to find time everyday to come on the boards and read around. A couple hours at the very least. I can't seem to keep away from here. So... I'd definitally take the job if it were offered to me. Yet another way to help out around here.

As for nominations, I'd probably nominate Nickydude since he has helped everyone out by making the community guide and can hold a calm conversation even in the heat of a flame war. I also want to nominate Thraxas since he's nice and was the one who helped me out when I first came back, but knowing him he'd have to change his name to "The Sarcastic Mod".

About the platypus... yeah, it's a freak of nature. It's basically an egg-laying, venomous, duck-billed, beaver-tailed, otter-footed mammal. And to top it off, it's the only living species of it's scientific family and genus. Man, now that's gotta be rough on the ego.

Plystire all the way..
Yeah and I agree with Jenkins, Nickydude and Plystire should be both mods. Both excellent people.
And as Wayne and Garth say...
"We're not worthy! We're not worthy!" then I shall add "For the Mod position except Nickydude and Ply."

You know, Punk13, I just realized that you randomly capitalize words in your sentences but you rarely capitalize the word "I".
I just thought that was a little weird.

BTW, I second the platypus as coolest Aussie animal. Heck, coolest in the world in my eyes.
